Vort

How many times have you asked yourselves, how does it work for the Haredim? How do they get married so quickly? How do they come to a decision in just a few meetings? And how are they matched?

Welcome to “Vort,” the first Haredi matchmaking format on television. The best matchmakers in the sector will show, on camera, how a match is made from A to Z and reveal the secrets of the profession and show how they find a successful match

What is a Vort? ‘Vort’ in Yiddish means ‘word,’ implying a handshake and a “L’chaim” toast when closing a match, with the families announcing officially that a couple is to be married. The mothers break a plate with the names of the matched couple, and from that point, there’s almost no turning back

Our matchmakers will pair up the Haredi couples of the show and accompany them throughout the entire matchmaking process until the crucial question: will there be a Vort?

Which of our matched couples will succeed and agree to move forward to marriage?

It’s intriguing, it’s funny, it’s romantic, it’s innocent, it’s emotional, and it’s something that hasn’t been seen anywhere before… How do people really fall in love in the Haredi world? How do two strangers decide to get married and start a family after just one month of dating? And which of our candidates will close with a Vort in the end?
